Welcome to the Spondon Angling Club
We are a local friendly club with approximately 50 members and have a stretch of the River Derwent which is accessed via locked gates, with parking behind or close to most pegs.
The water has a slightly pacier stretch called the '94' which fishes better in the summer and a slower deeper section where the shoals of huge bream reside and also large Perch, the largest recorded so far was a superb specimen of 5lb. The pegs on the Deeps all have platforms to fish from and parking very close to them, the 94 stretch is a 'work in progress' although there are some pegs available to fish.
We fish matches throughout the season on a varied selection of waters which can be viewed in match venues and dates,
Outside clubs are welcome to book matches of up to 25 pegs on our water at a cost of £3.00 per peg, with parking behind or close to most pegs! For bookings please contact Steve Stone Secretary.
